When we were pregnant with Kyla, we thought for sure we were having a boy. We were set on the name Carter. Our last name starts with a K so I like the hard K sound for the first name too. Soon after we found out she was a girl, we came up with Kyla and never once questioned it or even thought of other names. We loved it! My great grandma was Pearl so that's where her middle name comes from and I think Kyla Pearl is absolutely beautiful.
So when we found out we were pregnant again, we started the baby name search again. I found a girl's name that I loved so I just knew we would have a boy this time. Isn't that how it always works? I'm not sharing that name though because we still may use it some day. But we continued to look for a boy's name just in case.
While watching a college football game, we saw a player named Case. I thought it was a really cool name, but told Tyler I liked it with a K better. He agreed. We both really liked it and stored it away until we found out what this little baby was.
Ultrasound time came. IT'S A BOY! I thought maybe we would settle on Carter. However, I wasn't sold on it anymore for some reason. So we did our research. Ok, I did all the research and then would run a million names by Tyler and he would say yes or no. He did come up with a few on his own. I looked at so many baby name websites, it was driving me crazy!
We finally narrowed it down to three: Carter, Kase and Parker. Tyler came up with Parker and loved it. I like it, but not as much as Kase. Finally, one day I just told him that Kase it was. And he agreed, thankfully :)
For Kase's middle name, there was never a question. Our first son was always going to have Bradley as his middle name after his Daddy and Grandpa Gil. So Kase Bradley it is!
