(Almost) Wordless Wednesday

My mom won this little hat the other day so I had to get a picture of Kyla modeling it.  And of course a bunch of other random pictures.

Her new favorite thing is to push this little book case around all over the house.

I decided I am going to start a new little thing on my blog.  Each day I am going to post what my favorite part of our day was.  You all know how well I did with remembering the thankful posts in November, but I will do my best to remember.  The best part of my day today was watching Kyla dance to the hot dog dance on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  She sits and bounces up and down, waves her arms, smiles and sings.  It is the best!  And if I get my flip camera that I asked for, I will show you all :)

What was the best part of your day?

In a slump...

I really need something exciting to happen around here so I have something to blog about.  I'm surprised anyone reads this thing for how boring I am.  Seriously.  I'm thankful that I have a great husband, awesome little girl, and everything is stable in our lives.  But seriously.  Mrs. Mommy needs some excitement!

You know what my excitement was for today?  I went shopping tonight and bought a new dress for a wedding we have this weekend.  Pathetic?  I think so!  I really like the dress though.  I came home and modeled it for Tyler.  I always need a little reassurance.  He isn't crazy about the neckline, but he's ok with it.  He got to stay home with Kyla and have some quality Daddy/Daughter time.

Remember when I told you guys that she's a Momma's girl?  Well that was nothing!  She needs her Momma at all times now.  I have to admit, it's pretty adorable.  But it's also exhausting at times.  And Momma needed to get out tonight.  The hour and a half I was gone was just what I needed!  And Kyla had fun with Daddy.  But was happy to see me come home :)

I forgot I told you that I'd post a picture of my new organizer from Michael's that I got on Black Friday.  I haven't put it together yet, but here it is...

I'm excited to use it Kyla gets a little older and we have lots of coloring books, papers, etc.  And 80% off is pretty sweet!

Unfortunately today was one of those days where Kyla would not cooperate for any cute pictures.  Not one!  Here's what I got...

We'll try again tomorrow :)

And maybe I'll have something exciting to blog about.  Anyone have any ideas?  Any questions I can answer?  Anything you want to know?  Come on, ask away!  I need you!

Happy for Monday!

As much as I love the holidays, I am thankful the weekend is over and that we are back to a routine.  Kyla doesn't do so well with change.  She doesn't nap when there's company here so it can make for some long days!

Clapping for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse...

Beautiful bed head...

She is really cruising around in her walker.  She can use her feet to steer herself so she doesn't run into things and can turn.  It's fun to watch.  She goes really fast on the kitchen floor and has the biggest smile on her face!

When you say "Touchdown!" she raises her arms.  I practiced this all week with her last week and she wouldn't do it and then on Thursday at my mom's, she did it during the Packer game.  Such a smart girl!  Now she does it all the time :)

She likes to get into my drawers and found my beaters today.

My chubby baby is losing all her chub!  It makes sense since she's on the go all the time and never sits still.  But this next picture really made me realize how thin she's gotten!

Oh don't worry Mommy, I still have the chubby cheeks and double chin.  See :)

As soon as she hears the garage door opening, she screams and crawls toward the door and waits for Daddy to come in.  And then says "Pick me up Daddy!"

How amazing are these flowers?  They are even more beautiful in person!  Tyler's brother's girlfriend brought them for me yesterday.  How sweet is she?  It was our first time meeting her.  She's a keeper (and not just because of the flowers) :)

I hate to keep plugging my Thirty-One Facebook group page, but I just have to tell you that I'm doing a giveaway right now and I know some of you like free stuff.  And I'm giving away cute, useful, free stuff :)  Check it out here:  http://www.facebook.com/groups/291258947568300/

What they say about Black Friday shoppers is true (times 100)!

It's been a busy couple of days around here.  Let me first tell you about my Black Friday shopping nightmare experience.

I left the house about 8:30 on Thursday night to go to Michael's.  I forgot my 30% off coupon at my mom's so I stopped at two gas stations to buy another paper.  No luck.  Both girls actually laughed at me.  They must have sold out a long time ago!  Thank goodness for my smart phone though.  Michael's let me download their app and scan the coupon from there.  That was a successful trip.  I got Kyla a Melissa and Doug shape puzzle and magnetic letters and numbers.  The M & D stuff was buy one get one 50% off and then I got 30% off of that.  I also got two wreaths for our lights by the garage for 80% off.  And my favorite purchase of all...a tall organizer with drawers.  I will post a picture later (it's in the toy room where Grandma Cheryl is sleeping).  I am going to use it for Tot School for construction paper, glue, scissors, etc.  I've had my eye on this for awhile, but it was $69.99 and I would never pay that much.  But I got it for 80% off!  I was so excited!

I also had 13 Christmas books in my cart because I thought I could get them for 30% off as well.  The coupon said 30% off everything, including sale items.  And I didn't see anything about books in the fine print.  I was so pumped!  I'm starting a tradition where I wrap 25 Christmas books and starting on December 1st, Kyla will open one book a night to read at bedtime.  We will read the last one on Christmas night.  I'm not planning on starting this until next year when Kyla will actually be able to open the books herself.  But I figured I'd stock up on some cute books since they were on sale.  Not so fast.  They were excluded from the sale.  So I didn't buy any.  I'm hoping I can get them on sale after Christmas or at a used book store or something.

Then I decided I'd go check out Walmart since they opened at 10:00.  Big. Mistake.  I've heard about crazy Black Friday shoppers before, but I have never seen such chaos.  I was scared for my life.  Seriously.  So besides not being able to move, I accidently bumped into a girl in front of me and she looked back at me and I thought she was going to kick my butt.  I apologized.  She wasn't having it.  Yikes!  Then, I somehow made my way over to the movies.  And as I was shoving (nicely) my way through, some guy looked at me and then said to his wife/girlfriend, "See babe, I told you, that b**** just tried to steal your wallet."  Excuse me?  I'm just trying to get the hell out of this place.  I didn't say anything because at this point, I didn't want any trouble.  So I texted Tyler (who was at home worried sick about me) and told him I was just going to come home.  It took me 35 minutes to get out of the store.  When I made my way toward the front and what I thought was freedom, I was met by a security guard and a roped off area.  I told him I just wanted to leave the store and that I wasn't buying anything.  He let me go under the rope and escorted me out of the store.  He literally had to shove people out of the way because they thought I was trying to cut in line to check out.

If I blog about wanting to go shopping next year on Black Friday, please PLEASE remind me of this experience.  I went to Walmart to get a printer for my mom.  I will gladly pay more for her printer!

Yesterday was a busy decorating day.  We got the house all decorated, the tree up, and most of the outside lights up.  We had to go buy two more strands of lights and by the time we got back, it was dark.  And it rained all day today so we're hoping we (meaning Tyler) can get them finished tomorrow.  Tyler's mom got here last night and is staying until Monday morning.  I had a Thirty-One vendor fair all day today.  And tomorrow Tyler's brothers and their girlfriends are coming over for lunch.

I know I posted a ton of pictures from Thanksgiving at my mom's, but I have to post a few more.  My aunt took pictures that day too so here are some of hers...

A nice family picture
But something just doesn't seem right...

I can't believe I married a Bears fan!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend and eating lots of good food!  One more day of turkey and stuffing for us!

Thanksgiving picture overload

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

We had a great day at my mom's today.  It was my mom and step dad, Grandma Barb, Aunt Sharon, Uncle Mike & cousin Kirsten, my brother Matt, his wife Amber and their two daughters Emma and Gianna, and my brother Mark.  Kyla was such a good girl and we all had so much fun.
And yes, I took A TON of pictures!

Emma and Kyla...one of the best moments of the day was when Emma came in from playing and Kyla saw her.  Kyla got SO excited, she was screaming and shaking her arms in excitement.  It was so cute!
Can you tell we are a Packer family?  Except Tyler, of course!  Just this week I taught Kyla how to raise her arms up for a touchdown.  She did it today.  I was so proud :)

Thank you to Shawna from Girls Just Wanna Have Fun for making Kyla's turkey shirt.  Everyone loved it!  She will be wearing it again on Sunday when Tyler's family comes over.  She has a ton of other cute stuff on her Etsy store.  Check it out:  http://www.etsy.com/shop/nopaparazziplease

And now, what do I do?  It's 7:30 and I'm going shopping tonight.  Do I lay down for a little while or stay up?  I'm afraid if I lay down, I won't get back up.  But maybe a little rest will be good.  Is anyone else venturing out tonight to do some shopping?  I really only want to get a few things at midnight and then I'd like to go to a few stores that open at 5:00am.  Those stores didn't really plan this very well.  I don't want to shop at midnight, come home and sleep and then get up to go again at 5:00.  I'm sure I'll tell you all about it tomorrow :)

Hope you're all having a great Thanksgiving.  I sure am!  I can't help but be so thankful for my amazing little girl!  I love her so much!
